Nestled in the picturesque village of Dunlavin, Co. Wicklow, Tynte House is a lovingly preserved, award-winning early 19th century farmhouse. Highly rated for it’s hospitality and just an hour away from Dublin city’s airport and ferry port, Tynte House is an ideal touring base for many of Wicklow and Kildare’s famous beauty spots such as Russborough, Glendalough and the Wicklow Gap. Excellent golf courses are also nearby.

The house is decorated to the highest standards and is recognised for it’s cosy atmosphere. Downstairs there is a spacious drawing room where one can read or play cards in front of a cosy open fire. On the grounds there is an all weather tennis court, a barbecue area, an indoor games room with table tennis,billiards and a well equipped.

At Tynte House we offer three types of accomoddation:

The Main House

The main house is a warm and friendly B&B decorated to the highest standards and is recognised for it’s cosy atmosphere. Downstairs there is a spacious drawing room where one can read or play cards in front of a cosy open fire.

The house boasts: spacioous ensuite rooms, direct dial telephones, fax facilities, laundry facilities, tea/coffe making facilities, a telviion in every room and dinner on request.

The Mews

In the courtyard of Tynte House are eight award winning, luxury mews that are fully self contained. Tastefully decorated with timber floors, open fires and antique furniture, each mews has a fully fitted kitchen, private telephone and multi-channel television. The spacious two, three and four bedroom mews will comfortably sleep from five to nine people. These mews provide an ideal home from home in beautiful Wicklow surroundings. Guests in the mews may also avail of breakfast and dinner in the main house.

Appartments

Added in 1998, the apartments are set in a beautifully restored Victorian building opposite Tynte House on Dunlavin’s main street. These luxury one and two bedroom apartments are tastefully decorated with wooden floors, original open fireplaces, antique pine furniture and soft lighting to add to the old world charm of the building. Bedrooms in all the apartments are ensuite with bath and shower facilities. Fully equipped kitchens with all mod cons., direct dial telephones and multi-channel TV provide the comforts of home in modern apartments. There is also private parking. Guests staying in the apartments have access to all of Tynte House’s facilities.
