All the bedrooms are en-suite, comfortable and with light refreshments available. A full Irish, continental or breakfast of your choice is served in the cosy dining room. An eloquent quite sitting room/lounge is at your disposal.
Cleggan itself, in which Harbour House is located, boasts an Alexander Nemo built harbour from the late 19th century with modern upgrades around which the village is built. A thriving lobster and crab fishery is the mainstay of the fishing in the area. The harbour is the main access to the offshore island of Inishbofin (well worth a visit). The ferry leaves three times daily, during the summer months. The main angling charters also use the harbour as there base.
The village also has a number of bars where music is played most nights and a seafood restaurant serving such local specialities as brill, turbot, mussels, crab and lobster. Clifden the capital of Connemara 9km away has some excellent craft shops and boutiques. Connemara National Park 8 km away is a local must see site as is Kylemore Abbey (9km) with its walled garden and turnetted Benedictine abbey.
