Birr Castle is a 5 min walk away and is famous for its historic science centre, great telescope and award winning gardens. Admire Birr’s attractive georgian malls and leafy linear parks along the river Camcor. The programme at Birr Theatre and Arts Centre offers a wide variety of entertainment at Oxmantown Hall a restored Victorian Theatre. Birr Equestrian Centre is a 5 min drive. Birr Leisure Centre, Childrens Playground, The Churches are all a 5 min walk.

Birr was the chosen venue for the first All Ireland Hurling Final between Tipperary and Galway in 1888 and the town has a proven hurling tradition and achievement.
