On the Ballinaclough Road, just a mile outside the market town of Nenagh, in Co. Tipperary, you will find a haven of tranquility in Bayly Farm House. It is a delightful historic house, owned by Desmond and Jacqueline Bayly, which has been in the ownership of the Bayly family since it was built in the early 19th century. The house remains largely unchanged, but enjoys all modern facilities. Bayly Farm House offers unique charm, a warm welcome and excellent accommodation.
Situated on a 130 acre working farm, Bayly Farm House stands stands in beautiful parkland, bordered by the Nenagh River and looking towards the Silvermines Mountains. On arrival, why not take a relaxing stroll around the farm. You have a choice of a long circular walk, or several shorter options, all fully way-marked and offering you an opportunity to sit and contemplate by the river. We’ll provide you with a map, information of what you’ll see and even a stick and a pair of wellie boots if you need them! Then, on your return, settle down by a cosy open fire.
A most distinguished visitor was Sir William Rowan Hamilton, the world-famous mathematician and physicist. He married Helen Bayly in 1833 and the couple spent their honeymoon at Bayly Farm.
