An Dun is the only approved  B&B on Inis Meain.  Rated 4 star by Fáilte Ireland.  An Dun is located in the centre of the peaceful island of Inis Meain, the middle island of the famous Aran Islands, County Galway on the west coast of Ireland.

At  An Dun we serve food in the Restaurant from our own kitchen garden on the island as well as local seafood. Owned and run by Teresa and Padraic Faherty  An Dun provides a comfortable and friendly place to stay surrounded by culture, scenic views and great wholesome food.

We have 5 ensuite rooms all with wonderful views of the Atlantic Ocean and the unique Aran Islands landscape. Each room has different layout, with simple and bright decor with the scenic views from all the rooms being the main feature.   One of the bedrooms is overlooking “Synge’s Cottage”    where John Millington lived during his time on the Aran Islands.  Most of Synge’s work were written here on this island where he got inspiration and tranquillity.

An Dun B&B Inis Meain has been rated 4 star by TAA Fáilte Ireland. A small home made sauna and steam shower is available at minimal extra cost.  A cosy sitting room with books, board games and puzzles where guests can relax on ‘ not-so-sunny’ days.

Check In ;  From 3 pm.  Luggage can be left at An Dun for guests arriving on  morning ferry or departing on evening ferry.

Check Out; 12 midday.

Cancellation Policy;  There is a 3 day cancellation policy,  full payment will be deducted for late cancellations and ” no shows”.  In the event of severe weather causing ferry / plane cancellations there will be no cancellation fee.

Non Smoking;  All bedrooms and all parts of the property are non smoking.

Safety Deposit Box;  All rooms have safety small deposit boxes.

Breakfast in bed;  Let us know if you wish to have breakfast in bed. Lunch and dinner available with mostly island ingredients. Packed lunch also available to take out.
