Historic Derrynaflan House B&B is situated on our prize winning farm in the heart the beautiful Tipperary countryside. The peace and tranquillity of this rural location lets you unwind for a truly relaxing experience or you can use us as a base for touring or to avail of the many attractions of the south east.

Your host Mrs Sheila O’Sullivan believes in providing her visitors with the best of fare and indeed she is famed far and wide for her “Derrynaflan Cheese”, which has won many prestigious awards.

She also produces a range of Jams and Conserves which accompany her hearty breakfasts that really do “set you up for the day”. The rustic charm of the main house is perfectly complemented by a tasteful mix of contemporary & antique décor and we offer modern facilities such as Wi-Fi internet access and satellite TV in the lounge. All rooms are en suite with a shower & basin or there is a free-standing antique bath for the perfect way to soak away your cares.

Local activities include Golf, Fishing, Pony Trekking and Hiking, all within a short drive. There are many historic sites and monuments including castles at Cahir and Kilkenny, the Rock of Cashel and the Abbey at Holy Cross. For scenic views the Glenn of Aherlow is a must-see and the rugged costal walks of Wexford are just a 90 minute drive away.

For shopping you are less than an hour from the centre of Cork City and less than 80 minutes from the suburban malls of Dublin. Closer to Derrynaflan House you have the boutiques of Cashel at 10 3minutes, the towns centre of Thurles or Cahir at less than 20 minutes and the city centre of Kilkenny  is around 45 minutes by car.

For evening entertainment, you can’t beat the local Pubs in Cashel where you will find a warm welcome, traditional music and plenty of craic!! There is also excellent bar food and should you wish to sample the Guinness we can arrange a local Taxi service to ferry you back and forth.
